Hi,I would like to ask for your recommendations on how I can capture the websites our end users access during office hours.our current firewall doesnt support it as it only logs HTTP connections and we all know that almost all of the websites now are usin. Works ok for simple home use but not good for a techie like me. But buy your own HDD's as i've experienced where the drives provided were WD GREEN in RAID-1 mode. In your case i'd say go for something Western Digital with 2-4 bays. Their casings may not be beautiful but they're functional. You need something that can do Mirror RAID so that even though 1x HDD fails you still got another HDD But i'm guessing even FreeNAs can do that as well but i've never used that. Seriously even the QNAP i'm using can do WebPage hosting/XBMC/PS3 Media Server/eMail/PABX/Proxy etc. and BitTorrent download with a decent interface. They also have extra's like 2-LAN ports multiple USB print server. Seriously when's the last time those pictures on the camera phone have been backup? And because of this ease/link with web its almost like having your own Dropbox (something like that). Brands like WD/Seagate/Buffalo/Synology/QNAP have a dedicated web service that allow you to access the shared files in the NAS via the 'Net. it just a massive ergonomic casing to hold the hard drives and share them on a network That's what they're designed for storage/file sharing. And my 2-cents is always a proper dedicated NAS If you're experienced enough to use spiceworks then you're experienced enough to know that you'll need a NAS with RAID.
